The event is scheduled to be held at Richard Montgomery High School from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, according to Montgomery County police.
Only invited and registered guests are permitted access to the event, and attendees will not be allowed into the venue before 4 p.m., officials say.
Everyone is asked to enter the school from Fleet Street and Richard Montgomery Drive as an extra precaution.
Authorities are encouraging all guests to utilize public transportation if possible, as parking in the school parking lot is not permitted.
A list of parking garages and free parking includes the following locations:
- Council Office Building Garage - 225 Monroe St. in Rockville;
- Montgomery County Jury Lot - 254 Monroe St. in Rockville;
- Montgomery College – Rockville Campus - 51 Mannakee St. in Rockville;
- Montgomery County Public Schools parking lot – 850 Hungerford Drive;
- Additional parking is available for a fee at the Rockville Metro.
Attendees are encouraged to prepare for high temperatures as forecasts predict weather over 90 degrees the day of the event.
